Conceptualization and Groundwork for the Centre for Energy Studies (CES)
The Centre for Energy Studies (CES) was envisioned as a focused academic and research platform to support structured learning and discussion on energy systems, renewable technologies, policy, and sustainability. Recognizing the growing importance of organized energy research, I initiated the groundwork for CES by studying and collecting details from existing Centres for Energy Studies across reputed institutions to understand their structure, scope, and functioning. Based on this analysis, I created a detailed mind map outlining the proposed objectives, thematic research areas, and potential activities of CES. I also engaged with college authorities to discuss the feasibility of establishing such a centre, presenting the concept, relevance, and long-term academic value of CES. These steps were aimed at laying a clear, practical foundation for initiating the Centre for Energy Studies within the institution.
