Week 2:
Something I Noticed Today
This thought started during a small power cut.
Nothing dramatic. Just the fan slowing down, the lights blinking once, and that collective pause where everyone looks up like, “Is it just me?”
A minute later, everything was back. And just like that, the moment disappeared.
That’s when I noticed something. We only think about systems when they stop working. When they work perfectly, they fade into the background. Electricity, internet, even routines. They quietly do their job and ask for nothing in return.
What struck me was how much of life runs this way. The better something works, the less attention it gets. Stability looks boring until it’s gone.
And this isn’t limited to power lines or machines. It’s true for people too. The ones who show up every day, keep things moving, and fix problems before they become visible.
Small thought for the week:
If something feels boring, it might just be working really well.
Next week, I want to unpack one complicated idea and explain it in the simplest way possible.
